Designed for the demands of service, this tactical boot provides performance with a fit that actually works for more foot shapes. Built on our widest last, it gives military personnel extra room in the toe and a stable platform underfoot so long missions and heavy gear don’t mean sore feet. The high 9" shaft offers ankle support and protection while allowing the necessary range of motion for movement, load carriage, and fast transitions.

Every structural detail was selected for durability and field performance: reinforced stress points, a reliable lace system, and a protective upper constructed from hard-wearing materials. The reverse cowhide material is extremely durable, abrasion-resistant, breathable, water resistant, and it dries quickly. The outsole is Vibram® Megagrip, proven to deliver outstanding traction on wet, dry, and mixed terrain so you keep your footing whether you’re patrolling muddy trails or moving on slick urban surfaces.

This boot is engineered to comply with AR 670-1 in construction and materials. In short, it meets the technical and performance requirements expected for military use while offering a wider, more comfortable fit and the traction professionals rely on.

For additional information please check out our FAQ page!

We find that the Tactical Pro Tall fits true to size, so you can order your normal US size. This is a unisex shoe, so the width is the same for both men's and women's.

As with all Lems shoes, if you need more volume inside the shoe or increased ground contact, you can remove the insole. If you have any questions, feel free to contact our customer service team at support@lemsshoes.com.

Comfy, but they make me sweat like crazy. There's a spot on the heel that rubs pretty bad, so I stuck a bandaid inside the shoe itself. I work outside doing construction, and the tread seems to do pretty nice. I did add some puncture proof insoles for safety. The laces need to be much longer, as they are a pain to get off and on. The tongue shifts around a lot. If your second toe is longer than your big toe, this is not the company for you as they taper down fast. For the price I'm not in love. I know boots get pricey, but since these are made in China and mostly synthetic I find them a bit steep. I did hit them with a mild waterproofing spray on the sides to help stop grass stains.

As a long time wide toe box running shoe wearer I had been searching for a similar combat boot as I have struggled with my toes after long periods in boots. These have been amazing. Easy break in, great shape, the color and minimal branding is perfect for military applications.

My wife loves the boots. The only difficulty is lacing them up.

Love these. I love that theyre simple. And narrow. Lems are generally way too wide for my narrow feet but these fit great! And they look great, nice and minimalist.

Alright folks, I am 18 1/2 years into my time in the Army. This is the first, and I very much mean, the FIRST pair of boots that fit my feet correctly. They have require no break in time, are wide enough in the toe box, but, (and this is a good but!) they actually fit my heels without turning them to hamburger. No sticky heel cup inserts needed! I have one criticism and one tip. Criticism: why the tab at the top of the tongue? Is it to pull the tongue up if it gets mashed down when inserting one’s foot? It’s a bit unnecessary and looks slightly odd. However, once I blouse my pants over it, it isn’t that big of a deal. Tip: size up! A decent amount. I read the reviews about the boots running small. Now, I wear a 7.5 if I want my primals to fit perfectly to my size foot meaning no extra room in the toe length. I wear an 8 if I want that wiggle room. So, based on reviews, I ordered an 8.5. They were very snug. Therefore, I exchanged for a 9 and all is well and good! I spent the past couple weeks walking over rough terrain, rucked some decent inclines and traversed large rocks (the chunky ones the like to put in the TAA training zones) and the boots have not rubbed. The materials have held up well and I am seriously considering buying another pair already to have a better backup pair. My current minimalist Belvilles require the sticky heel cup cups to fit properly. Hope this helps!
