I recently started riding my bikes with flat pedals, rather than clipping in, and found that my Lem's Trailhead shoes were not stiff enough for the longer days. The Trail Thrasher shoes, however, work great and my arches no longer cramp up while I'm riding. However, they are definitely narrower, especially across the base of my toes, and after about 45 minutes my toes will start to go numb. I have to lace the shoes differently to get it *almost* loose enough. I have so many pairs of Lem's shoes because they are the only ones that are wide enough for my very-wide feet; these are the only ones that are too narrow. They're definitely better than any other flat shoe on the market, but I wish they fit the way the Trailhead shoes do. I'm hopeful with time the outsole will loosen up and the issue will resolve itself.

I have only owned a few pairs of mountain bike shoes, and these are by far the best! Built with the natural toe box shape, they are super comfortable, grippy, and yes, they look cool. :) They're comfy to walk on trails in, too, but my purpose was for mountain biking. Overall, I am so glad I invested in this small company's product, true to its description!!

I took these bike packing right out of the box, then spent 10 days tromping around Scotland on vacation. They stayed comfortable the entire time, and were perfect for riding with flat pedals, hanging around camp, the cobblestone streets of Edinburgh and easier hiking trails in Isle of Skye and around Ben Nevis. I did choose to wear different boots on more technical trails and in fully wet conditions so cannot speak on how they do in those conditions, but I had no problems with wet toes in light rain. My husband finally got tired of me raving about these and told me to write a review:) I typically wear an 8 1/2 women's, or size 39 Euro, and the shoes were true to size.

The wide toe box is so comfortable! I got these for hiking, but have been wearing them regularly when walking outside since they’re so comfortable. I’ve also gotten multiple comments on the cute color way.
